When do they fire Kelly 2027 or 2028

Let’s all be honest LSU is not spending 30+ million to fire a coach so in November of 2027 Kelly’s buy out is 24.5 Million but in 2028 it’s 15.5 million.

At the very end of his contract. In other words, we aren't firing him. NIL costs are going to continue to rise, and I believe unless rules are changed, we could see a roster have over a 30 million a year NIL costs in less than 5 years.
No team can support a buyout, and NIL costs. You are going to see a massive shift in coaching salaries and buyouts over the next few seasons I believe. Might see shorter contracts, with prorated buyouts.

There is going to be a wider disparity in the elite coaches’ contracts and others. But the best coaches will still command a lot of money with big buyouts and schools will pay it for a while. Might see shorter contracts, with prorated buyouts.

BK has more money than he can spend he won’t stay here because of it.If you have noticed his PCs this season he is beginning to feel the heat of the press and fans and at his age I don’t think can handle it as well.I know at my age 69 I’m not as patient with criticism either.He may just ride into the sunset and say I don’t need this.

He would not come without the contract we offered him. He was the winningest coach in Notre Dame history.
