Used Gun Pricing

A friend unexpectedly lost her father recently and came into approximately 20ish of his guns. Various pistols, older rifles, some modern stuff. I’m going to purchase a few for myself but want to help her get fair market value for everything. Is Gunbroker my best bet for establishing pricing, or is there a better source? The most expensive is either an older Ithaca 12gauge or a Tikka 7mm-08. Not dealing with $5k rifles

Check out cabelas used gun library, ton of used guns with realistic prices not bid prices.
FYI a used tikka can be had for as low as 549$ on there right now.
Yeah print the list I’m sure a few folks will chime in on ~ values

I once heard of a guy that went into a coin store to get some quick cash. The owner made him an offer. When the guy asked him why his offer was so much lower than the book value, the owner replied, "because books don't buy coins; people do."
That's all I got.
That's all I got.

Then you looking at 5k max for 20 guns. I bought a NIB Tikka for $550. You might get 700 for both used.

no store owner is going to buy product from someone at the retail price. they would never make money on the resale of said product.

In my lee corso voice “ not so fast”
That tikka is just a snapshot, they are still making them so used will be inline with a couple hundred under new price.
For example maybe he had a pre 64 Winchester any condition will be worth more than the tikka.
Marlin 30-30 600-800
REM nylon 66 it could be worth 500-800
That’s just run of the mill on those models, maybe more if it’s a holy grail gun.

He just said the most expensive was a Tikka and Ithaca. Im imagining the rest are Kmart brand rifles and shotguns.

I’m just trying to help him out, he thinks that the tikka is the most valuable. Reality is that a Kmart brand marlin glenfield JM stamped 30-30 may be worth twice the price of the tikka. Brand new it was a 200$ gun .

Yea, but I was thinking he researched this and knows the rest are trash.

Get a list and maybe pictures and send them to trusted friends/family.
Every baw is looking for a new gun and if you cut out the middleman/shipping you can get them a decent deal and also give your friend a fair price.

is this a semi-auto pistol ? or a rifle that is a bolt action or SA ?
TacSol initially started out making aftermarket barrels and precision accessories to customize a Ruger 10/22 and Mk III - Mk IV pistols. Barrels were lightweight, aluminum, fluted, and anodized with TacSol engraved. They later ventured into custom 22LR SA and bolt action rifles that retail for up to $2000.
I'm guessing the above item looks something like this .. a TS aftermarket barrel mounted onto a Ruger Mk III or 22/45 lower frame assembly.

I'd like to see it first, but sight unseen I'd give $400 for it.
I'm picturing this...
Possibly more depending on what it may have had customized...
Something like this... I'd step up my offer.
Those are cool guns and I've always wanted one for my collection.
I'll post my email if you respond to this comment.
