The 2008 Detroit Lions are going to pop the champagne when Rattler gets benched

Just like the 1972 Miami Dolphins when there are no more undefeated teams in the league each season.
The 2008 Lions know that their 0-16 record from 2008 is threatened if Rattler stays in the lineup. The Saints would break the record by going 0-17 with Rattler at QB.

No love for the 2017 Browns? They share the record.
Weirdly coincidentally, the Browns and Lions played each other today.

Rattler is not the problem, they have a lack of talent across the board, when your best defender is a 14 year veteran that is a problem, they have to take advantage of every opportunity and they are not good enough to do that

The Browns arguably were more embarrassing than the Lions because they went 1-15 the year before and 3-13 before that.
4-44 in 3 seasons is an unmatched level of futility that's never been done before and will probably never be seen again.

Rattler is not even close to being the issue.

He is not THE issue, but he is AN issue. He is not the answer. It is OBVIOUS that the offense is limited with him under center, and he doesn’t see open receivers down the field.
If it’s obvious that he’s not the future…..then it’s time to see what you have in your 2nd round pick…..that way you know if you need to draft another.
Continuing to start Rattler, when it’s obvious that his ceiling is a good backup……is fricking stupid

When? Vs the Giants? I disagree and so does Kellen Moore.

Of course! When the Saints put together that fairy tale OL made of unicorns that never allow pass rushers into the backfield and magical WR’s who run their routes perfectly 100% of the time while never dropping passes, Rattler is going to SHINE! It’s why he gets the big bucks as a NFL QB1, don’t you know? They’re expected to deliver only when everything else is JUST RIGHT!

Hopefully he's not due a contract soon.

Rattler is the perfect QB for this Saints team at the moment.
Good enough to allow the team for focus on building what is really broken on the team.
I imagine Shough will be of equal value in that regard.
