Tip of the cap. Rushed for nearly 200 yards on us and allowed zero sacks and only a few pressures. Must be nice to have that kind of development with mostly 3 stars. Whereas we recruit 4 and 5 stars and get pushed around.

i’ll give them credit. They played their asses off, but it’s true. Our defense was on that field way way too long and had zero gas left.

Ole Miss came to play yesterday. That Div 2 QB looked like a Heisman candidate. We simply aren’t as good as we thought. Clemson like

It’s a shame they did that to us and the offense left the defense gassed out there. BK gotta go

Well, offensively their OC stuck to running the football. Sloan basically abandoned giving the ball to a running back until the last drive. Ole Miss didn't have to gameplan for our run game, just had to gamplan for Nuss throwing ducks and not being mobile.

Our offense also had a lot to do with that as well.

We couldn't sustain a drive and kept putting our defense back out there to get worn down. You could see our defense wearing down in the 2nd quarter.

Also, props to them for going tempo and not allowing us to sub as often as we would like.

The trick to beating Kiffen is to make him play from behind making his offense more predictable. Our Defense gave us opportunities to get ahead in the first half and the Offense couldn't capitalize.

Losing reliford was a bigger deal than folks gave it credit. Was our best pass rusher outside of Payton

It may have seemed that way to people who want to think our defense is infallible but objective evidence shows time of possession was about equal. Before the last drive, time of possession was

27:38 LSU
27:18 Ole Miss

We were leading in time of possession going into the final drive. How much of an advantage does the defense need in TOP for them to not be on the field “way way too long” when the game is on the line?

Very importantly, the offense had just made a 15 play six minute drive before Ole Miss’s last drive, so the defense also had a pretty significant amount of time to rest before that drive.

Offense was terrible, but the defense allowed a huge 3rd and 14. And when the game was on the line, particularly 4th and 3, but really the whole last drive, Charlie Weiss Jr./Lane just flat out-coached Blake Baker.

That's because they ran the ball to set up the pass. Something Sloan has no idea how to do (setting up plays for 3rd down or a big play). How many times did Ole Miss rush for a yard or even less, then convert on 3rd down.

Lane sets those 3rd down conversions beautifully. Our Defense is just too damn dumb to understand - just because they are in the same formation that just ran a run up the middle, doesn't mean they can't throw out of it.

Sloan wouldn't be a good High School OC, yet he has a job at LSU? That is fing amazing to me.
