St. Tammany Parish is reporting a parishwide outage impacting 911 call system. According to Slidell police, all 911 phone lines are down across the parish.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office reported that the outage is impacting systems statewide.

This comes after the Orleans Parish Communication District reported a phone outage with its 3-1-1 system.

Slidell residents needing to call about an emergency are asked to call 985-646-4201 or 985-646-4219.

Mandeville, Bush, Folsom, and Covington residents are asked to call 985-276-1300.

Madisonville residents can call 985-276-1501.

This has to be a cyberattack.

This is not good. When true emergencies can't be addressed, people will die. I hope they get this resolved with the swiftness

Livingston Parish:
Officials say Livingston Parish is not impacted thanks to its Next Generation 911 system, which uses an Internet Protocol-based infrastructure instead of legacy copper wires. However, Livingston officials said they are affected when attempting to transfer calls to other parishes.
wafb

"legacy copper wires" probably relay through a state system that got ransomwared or something. happened to maryland earlier this week.

New Orleans has their shite together better than the pedophile people on the northshore.

Shocking.
