his fans will DESTROY his career faster than sinclair did if he backpedals on anything he said or says anything even halfway conciliatory.

but if he records his show this afternoon and disney brass reviews it, they will either have to cut that piece out or let it air and lose even more customers from their products ala cracker barrel.

i wont give him ratings but look forward to clips posted on here later tonight with great interest.

do they forbid audience members from using cellphones during tapings?

He's just going to lean into the victim angle like all good little leftists do. Hes been "victimized" by the right and now he can play the martyr for a few applauses.

I was under the impression that in his meeting with disney he made it clear he will never apologize or donate to turning point.

He better enjoy his last few months then because Sinclair and Nexstar won’t air him.

Do you want him to flip flop?

I want him to be utterly humiliated, TBH.

He will issue a half-hearted non apology. "I'm sorry that some people were offended by what I said" or like BS.

I'm sure he won't backpedal much, but I'm also almost as sure he will steer [mostly] clear of politics. A couple of jokes so it doesn't standout. But Jimmy needs his $15 M salary. The good news is he's on notice.

WBMA - ABC affiliate in Birmingham is owned by Sinclair. Never been more proud of where I live... lol.

Thing is, what you (or maybe I) might see as a catch 22, they see as the catbird seat.

I am betting they will start airing it. I think Disney will threaten to cancel their affiliation. Disney does not want to have the precedent set that local affiliates can dictate what they show.

right or wrong, thats how i think it plays out.

They can try but this is hardly the first time ABC has had shows preempted by affiliates.

The first episode of NYPD Blue got preempted by numerous ABC stations including WBRZ for content reasons 30 years ago, for instance.

If a program I never watched is cancelled and there is no one who cares to see it when it is reinstated, does it make a sound?

not familiar with that, was it for local breaking news or something similar? I think they are allowed to preemt stuff for a list of reasons, but i dont think kimmel falls into this. I really want to see the contract... well a summary of it, not reading 10,000 pages.

No, not for local breaking news. It was explicitly because those stations didn’t want to air footage of Dennis Franz’ naked arse.

He can't show up at the cocktail dinners in Hollywood if he caves.

Was that the episode where they showed Sipowicz' bare arse ?

If so, good call to pre-empt.

The shocking news is there are enough idiots that actually watch Jimmy Kimmel and the view. Isn’t a bigger story that Harris went on the view to say her election loss was closest in 21st century. Phaaaaaa!!!! This idiot lost by 2 million votes. She is too dumb to realize that’s not close. Whew!! We really need to be thankful that she wasn’t better on her knees.
