We;re ranked 4th in the country...Have a elite defense. We have an offense that punted TWICE on the evening! A backup QB who is capable!
We covered the spread EASILY in a game we were supposed to do so!
And yet, we have fans who want us to win with and dominant with a different game plan!
Just win BABY!

The SLU win was what we needed. Defense dominated! Offense had its way! Where is it written we have to win with a certain percentage of run yardage!

Nuss was on the mark and excelled! Van Buren showed no let up!

WTH!!! This was not an ugly win!! It was domination as we expected!
Yet, posts to the doom and gloom really surprise me...
JUST WIN BABY!!

Wake up folks! There is no set formula for success!! You succeed based on how you use your resources!!

At the end of the day, they will not ask how many running yards you had per game, but Won-Loss numbers!

We keep this up and we'll be in the playoffs and that is a new season!

Downvote if you desire!!

This is what LSU fans do.

No different than fans questioning Jay Johnson all year in 2023, and 2025. Not saying Kelly is Johnson but LSU fans have extreme disaster complexes.

It is ok to critique, but the mountain sized melts that we have after wins are comical.

Have an elite defense.

Spread was 49 at kickoff.

56-10=46

We actually did not cover the spread. Thankfully I took Southeastern +49

Look, we are all thrilled to be 4-0.

But this is one thing I hate about games vs teams like Southeastern.

We still don’t know at all if the offense is improving or still utter dog shite.

If you think last night proves LSU now has an offense to go with the defense, great for you.

Personally I don’t see how anyone isn’t at least a bit skeptical.

Do you trust this offense to pick up a critical 3rd and 2 to seal a game late in the 4th quarter?

And if so, why? Because they got a 4th and long vs Southeastern?

Fans haven’t adjusted to the new era. A lot of them are using 2019 as the standard which is understandable but you’re never going to get that level of team again or even the level of that era’s teams again. NIL has watered down college football, look at the teams that have won it the last couple years, not one of them could compete with any of the playoff teams from 2019 or most of that era. So our fans are just judging it a little incorrectly. The things they’re pointing out are correct, but you’re never going to get the complete teams you could when you had 3 years to develop your guys.

We learned that Nuss is essentially automatic if his receivers get any separation. That’s a skill that translates.

We learned our offensive line is still a liability.

We are gaining more insight on which receivers can be trusted right now.

We learned the backup QB is more than capable.

We are using these games to learn what we have. If the line blocks at all and we focus on Anderson, Brown, Sharp, and Zavion vs the harder teams, we’ll be fine.

And like you said…the defense is elite.

We learned our defense does not play down to the level of competition. That skill translates.

I think you’ll start to see a tighter rotation on the receivers vs Ole Miss and Bama, which will make the offense look much better.

OP asked, this post answered. OP - do you understand it now?

Cause if what this guy said doesn’t explain it to you, you just don’t want to see.

You can next to nothing by playing and beating up on a Div II school.

I don’t know about all that. But …. some teams are doing better than others.

I watched the UGA-TENN game and I thought those two teams both looked pretty good.

All teams play in the same NIL-Portal era. Some do better with it than others.

It’s not too much to ask for CBK to field a team that is credible in all areas of the game - offense, defense, special teams, OL, DL, run, pass.

We haven’t seen him put a team on the field that’s good in all areas of the game since he’s been here.

Every year, it’s something with this guy.

No. Right now this is a Les Miles era feeling. Great defense. Offense sporadic at best. Thing is, those teams could run the ball on all teams not named Alabama. We cannot.

I am kind of hopeful that we can get a little downhill running attack going if:

1. We lean on J.Johnson as RB1.
2. We find a way to keep Weston Davis off the field until he's remotely capable.
3. We break some run game tendencies on offense.

Last night was a start on #1 and #3.

He wasn't. He was comparing the reaction of idiot fans to both coaches.

Unless they were playing Bama, Miles’s teams could typically line up and run successfully right into the teeth of the defense.

I don’t disagree with your assessment of Kelly, that’s been his career but it’s just common sense that piecing together rosters over the span of a couple months isn’t going to give you the same cohesion that you’d get from developing a group over the course of multiple years.
