Unless Ole Miss struggles with a lesser opponent after LSU beats them, then Ole Miss will be the worst team in the SEC, and LSU still hasn't proven they're good.

Top 3 is Ohio State, Penn State, Miami so far. Id think you slot in UGA, Oklahoma, Oregon, FSU. LSU in that second mix, hence my maybe.

And, the answer to your question is maybe. The Ole Miss game, win or lose, will not determine if LSU makes the playoffs, so your supposition that the game will define LSU's playoff chances is incorrect.

Defensively signs point to this being a top ten team, but offensively that is a no at this time.
The schedule is what it is with Clemson and Florida implosions; however you can’t give Miami credit for beating Florida but penalize LSU for doing the same. Also, PSU…who have they played -Nevada, FIU and Villanova. Ok.
