It’s crazy. So many people crying and declaring it’s the end of high tech in the United States.

Jet don’t know why it’s all over my feed like this. Nuts.

Has the owner of Twitter ever vocalized support for this program?

On any liberal forum that I frequent most people are actively celebrating this. They feel this is something that needed to be done.

I agree.

The Indian programmers should be overjoyed. Now they can stay in India and work remotely.

The only reason why people cry about this is because they want to be supportive for minorities and foreigners but have no understanding of how not hiring American citizens for these jobs actually hurts the American people

Love this, but how can the US place a tax on Indian IT services offshoring? Anyone have ideas on options based on precedent or not?

The best AI workers will now go support Communist China's cyberwarfare operations against us instead.

Yea no.

Meta is offering $100 million to the best AI engineers as a salary. Doubt a $100K or paying $2 million to move the best AI engineers to the front of the lottery system is going to deter them

Musk owns X. He has posted the following on X in the past. I would not put it past Musk to tweak the algorithm to show stuff he cares about.

The Chinese govt will pay the 100k fee. I suspect youll see more Chinese now coming to the USA on H1B visas.

Chinese govt didnt have issues giving home downpayments for immigration to Canada, and dont think they arent getting something in return.
