My grandson had open heart surgery this week. We are hoping he is out of ICU for the LSU game this coming weekend so we can watch it together.

Prayers for Kolton, yes, but also prayers for his parents and grandparents. Far too often I’ve seen the fear on the faces of the family as tiny ones are taken for large surgeries.

Just a heads up for your privacy, if you want to post a photo find a way for it not to show someones name.

My son has had 2 open heart surgeries and is now 6 years old playing baseball and soccer. We found out the day of the Texas vs LSU game in 2019 and the next 6 months were a blur. Sending prayers to your family!

As a 38 year old who has been a lifelong cardiology patient at Children’s, I can assure you that you are in excellent hands.

Had my first open heart surgery in 89 at UAB but the drs at Children’s in New Orleans are the ones that found my 5 heart defects.

Again, Kolton is in great hands.

Edited…

Sorry: Just realized someone only asked if it was at Children’s in New Orleans. I read it wrong and thought you said that’s where it was.

Where did the little guy have his surgery?
