Deconstruction in Utah

Take a look at this map. This is the shift from 2012 to 2024 in the presidential election. While 2024 shifted from 2020, this goes back to 2012 when Romney was the candidate.
Utah and parts of Idaho have had the biggest shifts in the nation. Utah and Idaho (as well as Northern Arizona and Hawaii) have the biggest LDS populations as well.
The reason for these draamtic shifts is deconstruction. Its huge with LDS youth and its well organized in Utah. The basic premise is this: Take someone who grew up in a religious home and take them through the following steps:
1. Questioning and Doubt. "You are so smart, why do you believe in nonsense"
2. Dismantling the Framework. "You know the Bible is just a bunch of stories. That stuff didn't happen. Do you think someone lived in a fish for three days or came back from the dead?"
3. Seeking Authenticity. "Our group is very moral and good, even though we don't believe the same way. You should check us out."
4. Focusing on the Harmful Aspects of Faith. "Your parents didn't let you (insert whatever0 growing up? That's abuse.
While it happens in the Christian faith, it happens more in the LDS faith (mainly because points 1 and 2 are easier). Utah is the deconstruction hotspot and its working. The plan was to take what was working in Utah to the rest of the country. We must stop it.

It could be that or California people moving to get away, but still voting the same.

To be fair, Mormons are fricking weird.
And, somehow, we should blame Mitt Romney.

Over a million people have moved to Utah in the past decade. Guaranteed you a large chunk of them are leftists fleeing California, not to mention illegal aliens.

Isn't Utah one of the states with a flood of California transplants over the past 10-20 years? Seems that this is just the fruits of that emigration.
You're going to see the same thing in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming over the next 10-20 years (you can see some of it in that picture, actually).
Remember it would only take like 100k population shift to swing those sparsely-populated Western states like Montana and Wyoming (or the Dakotas)

well i don't believe christ appeared to native americans 2000 years ago shortly after his resurrection, i don't believe joseph smith stumbled onto two golden tablets in 1823 which inspired him to write the book of mormon, which i believe is in and of itself an act of heresy. i believe the translation of the bible into english was a political act not the divine work of god. i also believe in the last 400 years you protestants have found all kinds of goofy stuff in that book, like the rapture, mary and joseph had sex and jesus had brothers and sisters.
to find out more of what i believe feel free to attend mass on any sunday.
we recite the Nicene creed which spells out exactly what we believe.

Is the violent tranny movement coming through the Mormon Church? These flags are real.

Montana has taken a hard right turn politically as it has exploded in population. Used to be very purple. We had 16 years of Dem governors until 5 years ago. Had 2 Dem senators as recently as 2014. The Dakotas are in a similar situation. These areas are getting more conservative. You don’t have anything to worry about I don’t care what the stupid maps says. Don’t be so gullible.

I agree with you.
I would think it would be relatively uncomplicated to “deconstruct” a Mormon. They used to be so insulated from non-Mormons, but the population shifts in the West from ppl fleeing Comminfornia, has diluted what was once a relatively uniform population. So it’s not as if they are converting to regular Christianity, they’re converting to utter godlessness when you’re looking at who is doing the converting.
Most of us go thru a questioning our parents’ faith/morality when we’re young. I can only imagine the problems associated with questioning polygamy and other unsavory doctrines of Mormonism.
Mormons are historically weird, and even violent. Starting with Brigham Young and the other nut jobs who settled Utah, with this nonsense making a straight line to Warren Jeffs. I would think it would be easy to flip a disillusioned young Mormon. They’re already a little crazy.

2025 is the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea.
Great book that explains the creed, line by line.

Utah is a function of all the hippies getting priced out of Colorado.
