I used to work as a fishing guide down in Patagonia. There was one particular lunch spot where this dog would wander down from the farmers shack and beg for food. One day I was shooing it away, in Spanish naturally. Dumb lady in my boat that day hollers at her husband “Bob you gotta get over here this dog can understand Spanish.
