Lord knows why but I wanted to watch an early Nic Cage movie and this id the first thing that popped up. Never seen it before

I’m 2 minutes in and this is like the most 80s thing I’ve ever seen

It's as close to being in the actual 80's as you'll find. I've always felt the soundtrack was authentic and captured the energy of that era more than any other.

He was a better version of Johnny Lawrence than Johnny Lawrence. An actual villain.

Great movie. Nic Cage is really good and Elizabeth Dailey is really hot.

Took way too long for this to be on BluRay. The soundtrack and chemistry of the cast is like totally stellar. Supposedly foreman and cage were hooking up during filming. Always dig the Apocalypse Now parents

Colleen Camp (the mom) fascinated me. Her delivery is just so matter of fact and direct. I found that so different and fun to watch. She was on 1 episode of Magnum PI, and just always stood out. Didn't see her very much, but she's done steady work in Hollywood for 5 decades now.

He grew up to be even worse in Breaking Bad. (In between he drove the Pussy Wagon in Kill Bill.)

The soundtracks to Valley Girl, Fast Times, and Last American Virgin are the 80’s.

The movie exists because of the song. This is the first live performance of it.

Finished it. It was cute. Didn’t finish as strong as it started. Did make me feel nostalgic

The soundtrack is amazing. Johnny Are You Queer is punk perfection. That and the Plimsouls, etc. weren't what mainstream America was listening to but were the cutting edge of trendy pop in LA at the time. For that reason, I wouldn't say it was completely authentic 80's, but authentic to The Valley in the 80's.

To me the most authentic 80's movie is Against All Odds, but there are many more.
