When I was 20, I used to believe I had unlimited time. Now in my mid 40s, I keep thinking my time dwindling each day.
Me younger: That dude is banging every hot chick. My hero.
Me now: who gives a shite about that.
Me younger: BMWs are so cool
Me Now: Who needs that money pit
Me younger: That pants is going to make me look slick
Me Now: I hope is shirt is comfortable and lasts a long time

When I was younger I thought mostly all adults were above reproach.
Now I know better….

I used to think my toys came alive at night.
They might, but I still haven’t caught them.

Younger: Trannies were weird and looked funny.
Older: Once I hit 45, I cant get enough of them.

I think one of the more universal ones is thinking that people have it all together, that there is some switch where they magically reach a level of competence in career, parenting, marriage, social life, etc. such that everything they're doing is smooth and relatively without self-doubt by virtue of experience.
And then you grow up, realize fake-it-til-you-make it (and then keep faking as needed) is almost a universal and lifelong maxim, and adjust accordingly.

Me younger: I need to only focus on what makes the most money, my interests be damned, because education and careers have only one interest: supporting a wife and kids
Me now: if you don't ensure your career aligns with your interests, values, and lifestyle it isn't worth anything because I will never get remarried nor will I ever likely have kids.

I used to think the death penalty was a good punishment. Now I think it's too lenient. There's far worse ways to treat violent criminals.

Basically anything tied to politics and most historical events I now think we were lied to about what actually happened.

I used to think the people in charge, government, business, school, whatever, knew what they were doing.
now I have gotten pretty far along just pretending and I know damn well the people around and above are just making it up.
