I keep thinking...How TF did we survive 90's grunge and not get to where these kids are?

90s grunge had mental illness and rebellion that was not indulged to the degree it is today and children were still protected from it, not encouraged in it.
I still remember when Kurt Cobain blew his brains out with a shotgun. They grouped the school together and spoke to us, encouraged us to talk to our parents and siblings and friends, and told us suicide is never the answer to any problems we might be having.
