Rattler is 0-8 as a starter. He is what he is at this point. No reason to debate it.

Payton manning started 1-8
Aikman started 0-11

I'm sure there's more good examples. I'm not saying rattler will be good or even decent, but 0-8 has no bearings on his future value imo

Two #1 picks in the draft vs a guy picked in the 5th round. Apples and Oranges.

Right, we should expect more from a 5th rounder early.

ETA... parcells made that quote about team, not individual BTW

quote:

Rattler is 0-8 as a starter.

0-6 with no development, surrounded by garbage last year. 0-2 and getting better every week this year. There are 2 top drafted QBs this year that don't look as good. Caleb Williams being one. Bryce Young is another No. 1 pick. I'd take Rattler, a 5th rd pick over those two any day.

The difference is coaching. Kellen Moore knows how to develop QBs.

He's not winless this because of his play.

Yes. Last year with that shite coaching staff wasn’t going to yield any wins. He looked like a different QB this game. He is improving. Again, it doesn’t mean he’s the guy, but he is looking like an NFL QB more than he did last year

And win lose record is a team stat not a QB stat. I hate when that is done. A QB can play like absolute dog shite and the TEAM still win.

I don’t think anyone here is defending Rattler and saying he’s a good QB. He’s probably an above average backup at best.

What point are you trying to prove?

The most we can say about Rattler is that he has shown ability in some moments and plays. Anything further remains to be seen…

Jimmy G had one of the all time highest win percentages as a starting qb in history before he went to the raiders.

Higher than Montana and Young I believe as a 9ers qb.

Are you arguing he’s better than them based on his win record?
