It’s Garrett, and it’s mental. At this point, they are probably telling him, just don’t lose the game…He’s had time, and the running game would improve some, if their defense thought he could stretch the field( he hasn’t shown he can, so they sit on the run, and the short passes).

Unpopular opinion: Sloan’s play calling is dictated by poor offensive line execution along with poor route running by our young WRs…
That’s why he always throws quick outs to the boundary or quick slants…those plays are designed to counter poor offensive line blocking….

Nuss has great pocket presence and can evade the rush most of the time. He used to have the Moniker of "Gunslinger" Now I think he is hesitating trying to overthink it and avoid mistakes. His passing mechanics have regressed somewhat, causing the inaccurate passes of late. Maybe he needs some time with a sports psychic 
to help his mental game. He has an aversion to taking off and running with the ball when there is an open field. Think that run option would slow the rush and help the O line as well. Maybe he just needs to rely on the instincts that got him where he is today and just play football.

100% wrong. The run blocking is so poor, the safeties don’t need to help in run support and are playing “two high” or “two deep” to take away the deep balls.
