This might be my favorite secondary since 2011

Meh. Fast enough but Spears is no Dreadlocks of Doom.

2025 defense is 10x better than the ones from 2016 and 2018
2018 gave up 74 points to A&M

That game was rigged. It was over at least 3x with LSU winning but the refs kept A&M going. They even forced a fumble out of the back of the endzone in OT that should've been over. The refs would not let LSU win that game. They just scoring in OT. That score is way over bloated with a wore out team on both sides. I wouldn't hold that game against LSU's D I think the score was like 28 points or something before OT if I remember right.

are you a fricking 10 year old
who didn’t watch games?
74 points in 7 overtime’s
That’s 7 Drives starting in FG range. That lead to 43 of their point
Literally the only reason we were in OT is because the Defense scored a TD. Otherwise we just lost in regulation
Outside that game the defense gave up under 18 ppg.

LSU hasn’t had a defense 10x better than 2016. 03 and 11 included.

Either Lagway is really slow or mailed it in on that INT. If you watch the replays it looks like Lagway could have prevented the score but just half assed it trying to attempt to make the tackle.
spears fly by him.

Yeah, it was a lazy effort. He should have been able to push Spears out of bounds. But Lagway had the angle and Spears still was able to get to a point where he had to work to get to him.
That athleticism and those ball skills are why the staff wanted Spears. Our top 3 Safeties are so fricking good it’s crazy.

It looked fast to us in the south end zone

He's a sophomore with limited playing time. He's only going to get better.

He’s some lame SEC Rant alter who’s attempting to do a homeless man’s Lester Earl routine

Games like that are why I hate college overtime

He has such long strides that his speed looks unassuming. Was wild to see him pull away from Lagway “easily” from the press box view.

2007 was great…until they faced some real speed outside. UK and Arkansas gave us hell, one throwing, one running outside. But it’s very hard to argue with the final result.

Spears is probably a legit 4.5 range guy, which is fast for a college safety.
