The things that influenced my childhood are kind of crazy to think about.

Army Dudes fighting terrorists

Giant shape shifting robots fighting each other

Muscle bound dude fighting a skeleton man

Two dudes in a car with a confederate flag running from the PoPo

A talking car.

Former army guys in a black van firing hundreds of rounds but never actually hitting the bad guys.

Dude in a Trans Am running from the PoPo.

Bunch of TV and movie stars racing across the country in fast cars.

For some reason I thought Inspector Gadget came out in the late 80s or early 90s

I'm surprised Disney hasn't revisited the Inspector Gadget IP in 25 years

They have the chance to give us a young, intelligent, upgraded DEI version of an adopted Penny that upstatges the bumbling idiot of an inspector at every turn

Those were some great wholesome truths that they added to the episodes. Miss that.

Well it worked and the toys were awesome so everybody wins

Seriously, it is funny those were shallow attempts to sell toys but much of that IP is still around today

100%. It was brilliant and I owned a lot of them.

Are toys even big sellers like they used to be? Or is it IP for electronic content?
