Apparently all pressure on passing downs is coming from the edge not middle, and why we are having trouble running the ball no one knows. Only link I could find

I couldn’t find link to all PFF grades maybe someone else can locate.

I don’t think anyone on the OL was good, but most of the pressure Saturday was in fact coming from the edges. Nuss refused to step up and instead would spin left or right, adding to the problem.

Brown had a good night and that was about it.

That has to be effort right? How could he even of survived last year if he was getting blown up like that against La. Tech.

He started as a freshman and is now a backup. You gotta be a really mentally tough player to not let that frick with your confidence / drive. My guess is he's checked out now.

He just looks too tall to be a center. Honestly he needs to get on a cycle in the offseason and be an OT

Majority of the pressure came from Weston Davis

Not saying Chester was good, but he wasnt awful.

I cant believe we didnt see Curne get reps at RT considering Weston Davis was been one of our lowest graded lineman the first two weeks.

Agreed Captain. My thing with Chester was always simple, he is simply too tall to play on the interior line. At 6-6 he almost has to play tackle. DT's routinely get under him and generate relatively simple pressure.

I get that other players can play the interior at a taller height, but for whatever reason, I think Chester's build and height have held him back and that video you posted shows it.

DJ Chester is terrible. He was last year he is this year. Why do people take up for him? He isn’t good

Now, if you want to say it isn’t his fault he’s playing, you’re right we should have someone else. Davis has not developed him along with others. But Chester still sucks, he even had a false snap AGAIN

It all makes sense now - what is nuss going to do? Step up in the pocket to avoid pressure from the edges into where Chester is getting blown up?

So the same exact thing Nuss did last year and was called out for and he still hasn't changed?

It sucks. I want the best for him and he’s our utility guy.

I was at the bama game and didn’t see it live but I was really surprised at this because he was constantly one of the lowest rated players not only on LSU but one of the lowest rated center in all of football

Agree about Curne even though a TR FR. Seems to have the strength AND the mobility but of course we don't know his grasp of the college game yet. Two very highly rated guys that have been at LSU now for a couple of years have not fulfilled their rating. Echols was supposed to be a C/G type and Davis of course was a 5* on one service I believe. Neither is exactly lighting the world on fire.

When you need three tight ends for a run play and you still get stuffed, you’re offensive line sucks.

Been dying to see Curne. Even if he isn’t an upgrade, I’d like to see what he can do.
