Indiana teacher accused of forcing boys into group sex while wearing Halloween masks

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (WKRC) — An Indiana teacher is facing multiple charges after she allegedly forced multiple boys into having group sex with her.

According to WTHR, 31-year-old Brittany Fortinberry, a former math teacher at Eminence High School in Martinsville, Indiana, is facing additional charges after prosecutors say five more alleged victims came forward with sexual abuse allegations.

Court documents reviewed by the station show that Fortinberry has been charged with the following:

Ten additional counts of child molestation
Eight counts of dissemination of matter harmful to minors
Five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor
One count of sexual misconduct with a minor

The former teacher had already been preliminary charged with the following counts, according to WTHR:

Three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor
One count of dissemination of matter harmful to a minor
One count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor

Authorities interviewed a woman who claimed to be friends with Fortinberry since 2022, who said the former teacher had been supporting her while she went through a divorce, WXIN reported. The woman alleged that Fortinberry would behave strangely around one of her children, however, adding that she would buy expensive gifts for the boy, added him on Snapchat and continued to communicate with him even after she attempted to sever ties, per the outlet.

According to the station, the minor alleged that Fortinberry drugged him with "shrooms, and weed and that she would make him drink a bottle" when they were together, adding that the drink tasted like alcohol.

The minor further alleged that Fortinberry purchased vapes and marijuana for multiple other alleged victims, and would allegedly force the minors to watch her engage in intercourse if they refused to participate, per WXIN.

WTHR reported that in one incident, Fortinberry allegedly spent $600 on various items for a group of teens and then forced them to have group sex with her, making them all don the mask from the movie "Scream."

She allegedly told the children that if they told anyone she would take her own life, per WTHR.

Citing a probable cause affidavit, PEOPLEreported that an investigation into Fortinberry was first launched in August of 2024 after two students reported that the former teacher had allegedly sent "inappropriate" videos of sex toys, a stripper pole in her home and nude depictions through Instagram.

The former teacher is scheduled for a jury trial on June 25, WXIN reported.
