One thing that happens is that you end up getting on a list of every "recruiting service". Multiple emails every day wanting to sell their service. Multiple phone calls as well. Somehow got on the IMG Academy mailing list. So, be prepared for that.

Good advice - I could relate if he was a lineman..I played about your son's weight in school.

Nephew will be playing a skill position, size isn't there yet, but he should be pretty tall when said and done. Thanks for then insight.

What position does he play?
If its a skill position get him on a 7 on 7 team.
If not get him all the extra training you can. Seek out the best in your area. At the same time he has to be all in. He has to go run and do these things on his own without being told to. He has to have the love for the game. If he doesn't then its a waste of $$ and time. Goodluck

Captain Crown and I go way back. I believe I was the first to obtain irrefutable proof that he is a Red Elephant Club member who posts on the TigerDroppings Recruiting Board to thwart LSU's recruiting efforts.

Captain has admitted to me that it's true, and mdomingue can confirm the veracity of my accusations. Unfortunately, mdomingue, like Michael Jordan, does not want to risk his reputation by doing the right thing. In this case, the right thing is calling out the most popular poster. I think mdomingue believes that he does more good by creating the best content. He might be right, but ultimately there's a thing called integrity. Sure, "Republicans buy sneakers, too," but personal gain should be outweighed by public duty.

The admins will not boot Captain Crown from the site. They correctly believe that if he is booted, he will merely create new accounts and do his dirty deeds under different nom de plumes. The admins logic being that it's better to be able to track his work under the "Captain Crown" appellation rather than try to figure out each new incarnation and boot it.

Anyway, no, I don't think this board will be able to answer the questions better than him reaching out to LSU. There's already too much disinformation being posted here, and most posters either don't know or don't care.

Reopening this thread as I was able to see my nephew over the weekend and got him started on a daily workout. He's all in and willing to put in the work he claims (we shall see).

I was pretty confident he had the talent to get attention from big schools, but my uncle made a point of telling me the same and he's coached for 30 years in KC. He's 5'10 and in 8th grade with very long arms -- overall athlete now (who plays RB now), but most see a cb/wr . he's on 7v7 team now.

Questions are - with the 7v7 tournament, is there a need for individual camps (by Nike for example) for exposure? He will be working on improving 3 cone drill timing and vertical jump , 40 of course. .. what are the other things the camps time/track?
