I can't overstate how bad Chester is

He might be the worst OL we've ever had, and they keep forcing him in. As long as Moore is out this offense is fricked.

No, you really can't. Look up "worst" in the dictionary. Chester is so bad he doesn't even qualify for worst.

They need to inject steroids into Moores ankle. If he doesn’t play against Ole Miss, someone should be fired

It is not just Chester. In the run game the whole line loses leverage immediately and that is why we get no push. They best run blocker on the team is the transfer TE from A&M

At this point he should just cut block every play

Yea I would rather let a freshman get a taste.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he transfers to like UTEP or some smaller school. Tulane?

Better play calling would help

That seems dramatic

People kept trying to say that his problem was that he was playing out of position at center but when you're getting pushed back on virtually every play there's really no OL position that can hide that. And he's not undersized at all.
Still, I think that center transfer from Harvard was worse. Shanahan, I think?

My guess is Chester does one thing well and consistently. He can snap the ball. That’s it.

He’s either embarrassingly weak or doesn’t understand that a C isn’t supposed to back peddle when he’s blocking. As soon as he snaps the ball he’s getting walked back every snap.

The play call doesn't matter if they can't block. And they CANNOT block. I don't understand why Brad Davis keeps getting a pass because he is a good recruiter. He can't develop OL for shite. We have 4 guys in the league from last year's OL and they ranked dead last in the conference in QB pressures. Almost dead last in run blocking.

Last night, BK was working the O Line. Playcalling was out the window.
People get on Sloan without mentioning BK. Sloan isn’t running the team. If BK wanted to score on first and goal, we would have.

You can and you have. You say he’s the worst we’ve ever had, but the evidence shows he is not even the worst on this team. Now please shut up about it.

Why are you trying to depress people?

Are you suggesting that the coach can will a score when he wants, and that the problem is that he just doesn’t want to?

People keep saying that just because the coaches are playing Chester over other options that means there are no better options.
But there’s a million examples of that not being true. Just last year it took injury for Whit Weeks to be a full time starter. Famously we had the DJ Welter over Kendall Beckwith fiasco.
A lot of times coaches are just conservative and play the guys that they feel have the highest floor instead of trying out the riskier move with higher upside.
Maybe Chester is our best option on the roster, but just because the coaches are acting like he is doesn’t mean that’s the case

I’m sure it’s in part because center is so important especially when you don’t put the QB under center. They have confidence in him to get the snap to Nuss
