Guy needs to tuck the ball and run sometimes. Lots of opportunities last night to get some positive yardage. Looks like Tech did not fear him running the ball.

He is absolutely quick enough to pick up 7-8 yards comfortably when he has giant patches of open field in front of him.

Someone in Nuss’s life told him not to run and he took it seriously. It seems it was coached out of him a long time ago.

He could have moved the chains on at least 5 occasions last night.

Yes. Half the field was open on his side when he rolled out. I kept yelling for him to run for some positive yards.

He runs a 4.8...which is plenty fast enough to out run some 300lb lineman that runs a 5.0

He looked like he was making his first start last night: high throws, late throws, throwing off his back foot, absolutely refusing to run for easy first downs. That interception set the tone for the game. Should have been an easy touchdown, instead, turnover. Baffling.

Who said anything about his quickness or his ability to run a 4.8 40? I said he can’t. Also, I didn’t mean he won’t.
Mentally, “he can’t”. The only way to get him to start running is a call plays to force him to run. Forget about him running when it’s a pass play.

I find his passing has been off in these first two games. Not bad, necessarily, but not what it was last season. I am convinced his patellar tendinitis is giving him issues. That may also play into the QB run game this year. But who knows?

What you just said times 10.!
I don't understand Nuss refusal to run as option to HIS QB offensive scheme.Look around the SEC; all the better QBs run the ball as an productive option.

I agree but he’s not going to do it vs Tech. Now Florida next week he better tuck, run, & slide.

More like a short bus

He is mid. Nothing is different rhan last year.

Unless we had a very limited playbook and played like shite on Purpose, Nuss is still a mid qb. Very seriously overhyped

Rather struggle to beat LaTech with out him needlessly exposing himself to injury trying to scramble

if you make them respect his running it pulls DBs up which opens receivers up

but noooo, give up the easy yards and chuck the ball downfield into tight coverage

If La Tech is basically giving you a first down with so much space, take it and slide like every fricking NFL QB would
