I know next to nothing about New Orleans HS football...but what level of competition did he face at Newman?

And is it true he didn't do any of the elite level QB camps in HS?

Struggling at the Shoe in first college road start is to be expected...and I know he is a product of hype and he will get better...but the Heisman talk is ridiculous and the overall expectations are over the top.

I believe he'll be a good college QB. Hopefully he gets the time to develop and isn't burdened by his name and hype all the time.

2a football played no one then in playoffs got embarrassed. Never camped

So many in south LA saw this coming. He still has potential but right now it is solely that

He gets Ecole Classique three times before the UGA game so the media will be back on his dick shortly.

The heisman convo is over for this year, plenty of people will still continue to give sports books their money betting on him though

I heard something about getting blown out in his last HS playoff game.

So why the 5 star? Just pedigree?

We need to let him develop before we make any conclusions either way.

People are way too quick nowadays to slap labels on people after a short sample size. Nobody lets things play out anymore.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it pretty much the same competition that Peyton and Eli had? He does has the school record of passing yards and touchdowns.

This is all true same school Eli and Peyton played at 2A private school.in nola. Easier path in the playoffs than either of them would.have had though with the split bow being in place no public schools in his playoff bracket he also probably had more talent around him than his uncle's did.

Go look at Manziels HS numbers compared to Arch. Arch was#1 5-star. Johnny was 3 star in bigtime Texas competition

There’s a reason he’s been at Texas for three years and couldn’t beat out Ewers.

He has immense talent and lots of athletic ability and to suggest otherwise is dumb. But Newman plays zero competition and it’s foolish to believe that a kid that’s had a silver spoon in his mouth his entire life and then got by in high school purely because of his athleticism was just going to walk into the Shoe and not get dick slapped. LSU’s current backup freaking RB embarrassed him in high school. He’s still has a chance to be successful but it’s going to be hard

Based on what? Why do we keep saying this? He doesn't have the type of arm that wows you; from a velocity, accuracy, off-platform it's all very average.

He has great size for the position and looks to be an above average athlete for the position but where is this "immense talent" take come from?

I keep seeing a lot of pundits say he'll continue to get better but I don't even see some deep bag of natural tools thats Sark will have to work with

Say what you want about Ewers but he had natural arm talent. He flicked it and the ball just flew. Decision making and consistency he struggled with.

Garland Gillen and Josh Preston (and the rest of local media)

Better prospects and teams got covered less because fans of Peyton and Eli drove clicks on Arch

Amazing how damn near every college recruiter saw him play live and miles of film and came to the conclusion they needed to recruit him.

They should have come to the MSB.

I still think he may end up being really good. I just think that crowning him after a few games of sample was absurd. He still has time to develop.

Ju’Juan Johnson smoked him twice in 2020 and 2021. I also remember U Lab dominated him too one year…

I don't get the high school thing. He's been at Texas for over 2 years, he's competing against college kids at practice.
