Press conference tidbits:

- Forty-five LSU players will be playing their first game in Tiger Stadium

- Kelly: Defense playing with confidence, passion and selflessness

- Kelly: Wide receivers did an amazing job blocking

- Kelly on passing up FG attempt before half...said analytics recommended going for it, but he acknowledges it was a mistake to go for it based on time on clock.

- Kelly says NCAA Catch Rule was applied correctly on Barion Brown's "catch" at goalline, but says rule doesn't really make sense.

- Kelly on Gilbert stepping up for Haulcy in first half: gave him kuddos for being physical and having great communication...

- WR Destyn Hill has fractured left hand...had surgery yesterday...will be out this week and expected to be in limited capacity against Florida.

- Kelly: CB Ashton Stamps didn't play due to being passed up on depth chart

- Kelly: TE Trey'Dez Green is a great teammate...selfless...still learning the game...

- On WR Aaron Anderson: Electric playmaker, taking good care of his body, practicing more consistently

- Kelly on playing freshman: he will play best 22 players...if they happen to be a freshman, they will play.

- Kelly called out Dabo for the grades he gave each team (Dabo said LSU got a 65 and Clemson got a 58)...says that LSU dominated second half and should have had a higher grade from Dabo.

- On TE Bauer Sharp and DE Jack Pyburn: complimented their energy and hustle

- Nuss managed game as well as any other game...good rid of ball quickly (held it for average of 2.2 seconds)

- On Ramos FG miss: calf of his plant leg cramped up on the kick

It would be nice if 104.9 would pay to boost their signal.

Kelly admitting it was his mistake at the end of the 2md quarter is something a lot of coaches won't do.

He looked like he was fired up internally about that. Straight up said dabo either forgot to watch the second half or didn't want to.

Was reported PJ Woodland had a great camp.

I’m sure we will get to see Stamps this weekend.

Similar to LSU baseball, the depth on this team is a great problem to have

I mean I actually get Dabo's comment. We didn't play our A+ game but to sit there after you loss and say neither team played well is a bit of woe is me thing and not really something you should say. But we left points on the board too and the game shouldn't have been close but we shot ourselves in the foot early and then missed out on a touchdown and gifted them a field goal.

But again utter domination in the second half.
