I've been very pissed about him defending warp speed despite all the info on how detrimental this was on the risk / benefit scale. We aren't allowed to applaud him possibly changing course?

As recent as Spring 2024, President Trump was still touting the rapid approval of the COVID "vaccine". Then he quieted down after Alex Jones got all mad at him.

This is, at absolute best, knowing everything that Trump has done and how blindly MAGA supports him on all issues, rationalization that you would not in 1000 years give to anyone else.
The issue is that you're correct if it were any other group giving any other person grace. But context matters a lot here.

By my quick math it has been more than 4 years now that the vaccines were first administered and we were originally told we would all be dead in 3 years.
