Cover-up by St. Tammany Sheriff's Office.

A child was ran over and killed by a motor vehicle while standing in the driveway in Slidell. The woman who killed him left the scene of the accident. While in the confusion after the little boy was hit a man was falsely arrested because that is who they believed hit the kid. He and his family are now being harassed because they posted his mugshot everywhere despite him not being the one who killed the kid. The cover-up comes from the fact that the woman who killed the child dates a STSO Deputy. They are trying to help her stay out of prison because of this. What are yall thoughts on this?

Lol. I don't know. Probably should have been on a roof doing some work. Maybe wouldn't have gotten run over. Still feel terrible for the family though. Even if they should all get deported.

After reading the article. I am not sure if she was actually dating an officer or if that was a rumour being spread by neighborhood forums.

They should be absolutely embarrassed for the initial arrest of the wrong guy. The CANNOT happen. It’s better to make no arrest than the wrong one, especially for a sheriffs office in an affluent area like St. Tammany. This is a bullshite Donaldsonville PD crew doing the investigating.

Maybe 50 years ago but no one is covering anything up for that reason today.

The current leadership of STPSO has had its share of issues as did the last couple of them. Hell what parishes don’t, this one has a suspicion of a cover up on a murder though. A not so distant one where the parish fire chief wife was shot along with her dogs in a room of the house, the house caught fire after the murder.
The info slowly became available in which the shooting became known as the funeral was in progress and for all accounts the loving husband was exactly distraught. It did come to light rather quickly that he had just arrived at work some 15 away when the notice of a fire at his house came in. Now anyone that’s ever watched anything in a half arse movie knows there are plenty of was to start a fire and have it spread slowly at first before it ravages, surely as fire chief he would know. After a quick investigation the remaining scene was bulldozed, supposedly because it was just a tough thing for him to see. The house was part of a larger plot with numerous buildings all intact along with all the toys such as RV, cars and other items. Although it was known he had another life with girlfriend, known to have abused her nothing ever happened to him legally including a trial. Oh and fire chief & police chief are buds

Right however the path to prison begins with an arrest. I'm just curious how they are keeping her out of prison by arresting her?

Well they did try pretty hard to pin it on someone else. At some point you can't cover it up if outside people are bringing in evidence.
