Constantly repeats himself and makes obvious observations. He’s an announcer for people who have never watched a game of football in their life.

Thankful for the YouTube TV multicast. Allows you to watch games you want but find a better announcer on another game while keeping an eye on the other games.
Unfortunately, most college football play by play announcers are grating. Only a select few are worth the listen.

No, he’s always sucked. You’ve probably just gotten more selective in what makes a good announcer. Or just tired of hearing him.
