I think LSU will win tonight. That being said, if they do drop a hard fought game on the road in a hostile environment, it’s not the end of the world. Can still make the playoff, win the SEC, and win the national championship. Just keep things in perspective. This is a tough spot to start the season with.

I think we win a close one too.

I do think we have a chance to be in at 9-3 as well this year. If I’m reading between the lines correctly, Sankey bullied the committee to not penalize us for games like this.

It’s not the end of the world but it gives them no margin of error moving forward. They will have minimum one game if they lose tonight where they come out flat or shite the bed vs an opponent they should beat and lose. That along with a road game at Bama equals 3 losses and no CFP. Only Bama would get the 3 losses and CFp in courtesy of SEC/Espn love.

Agree.

Depending on how we look tonight, 11-1 is not out of the question.

Which is one of the reasons I’ve lost a lot of interest in college football. That feeling of life or death just not there anymore and it was SUCH a rush.

Once playoffs go to 16 teams it will take fans time to reorient their thinking about this. Three losses will still get an SEC or Big 10 in often. It will be more of trying to get a higher seed as opposed to just trying to qualify.

You are one of the few sane posters here. No one is going undefeated in the SEC. Maybe a few D2 or D3 schools might but not D1 colleges either. Don't listen to these chicken littles here they are never satisfied.

While true, a this game will tell us a lot about this team. Depends on the type of loss. A win would be nice. A dominant win would be magnificent.

The problem with a loss is it cuts your margin for error. It doesn’t eliminate your chances, but every loss hurts regardless of who its against. A win puts you in a very good position. This is a high risk high reward game.

Not literally, no...but for championship aspirations, absolutely. Not because of the loss, but because it shows we aren't any better than before and Kelly experiment was a disaster

I thought i was going to be on my own, but it seems that most people are thinking like me. Close game tonight, close loss, one so close that you say "if this were neutral site or in BR, LSU probably wins." Then LSU goes on a tear, they lose a game somewhere in the SEC slate, but they make the playoffs and it's never really in doubt. After losing this week, they come out next week and leave no doubt. Ends up being a really good season, so enjoy it.

If we get a special teams or defensive TD, I think we'll win. I'll be hoping for one of those tonight.
