Back to Ch 11 just months after exiting. And this time, they won't be emerging. The fat lady is about to sing on the ultra low cost airline beloved by the Basketball People and white trash.

All of their aircraft, buildings, and facilities are leased or mortgaged to the max. They have nothing of value except some LGA slots. I would imagine most of the aircraft end up in India, Indonesia, and Asia. Frontier is certainly in no financial position to take anything. They've currently parked a lot of their own fleet.

I do feel for their employees and hope they rebound quickly with better companies.

Spirit Airlines back to back bankruptcies

I don’t understand why the Biden administration wouldn’t let them merge. I guess they didn’t grease the right palms.

On the upside, gonna see way less pajama pants and slides at the airport from now on and won’t have to listen to as many speaker phone conversations where it appears neither party is speaking English. Layovers about to get a little more peaceful

Stick to your cop bashing threads.

You wont finish second if you stick to that plan.

Most likely a blessing in disguise for JetBlue that they didn't merge. Water seeks its own level and Spirit would likely have just brought JetBlue down as well.

Are we supposed to say this to the tune of Judy in disguise with glasses?

Almost all of Spirit's fleet, save for a few decrepit A320ceo, are leased. The lessor will assign them to whoever takes the highest rate. There is also the issue of the seating and interior furnishings shortage that is affecting all airlines. Even if LH were to end up with the leases, I doubt they'd want to operate them with Spirit's park bench seating and interior.

The government being involved in security at airports has ruined air travel and made it so much harder than it needs to be for airlines, and ironically the same bullshite government and their regime toppling to serve the MIC is what created the perceived need for the stupid TSA.

It did. So why don't you explain what LH has to do with this discussion. I'm sure it's every bit as clever as you perceive it to be.

it was obviously a reference to "germans", since there was already a thread about this on the first page when you posted yours...

See, I knew the reason would be hilarious...

I have never been bothered with perusing the various boards before I post a topic. And don't intend to start. Mine always provide the livelier discussions anyway.

Great, more Altimas on the road, and Carnival about to stay packed.

Well, I'll have to tip my hat to Carnival. The Basketball People are furious over their new rule changes that insist they act halfway human. Maybe if Spirit has used a heavier hand it wouldn't have ended up like this.
