Here's the incident in question. Is this really worth a carryover penalty to begin with?

BYU player started the whole thing. Stupid scuffle and ejection for unsportsmanlike conduct? Sure. But ejection for fighting with carryover penalty? bullshite.

We've seen far worse with no repercussions. Box score don't lie.

Pushing the ref out of the way is probably why they raised the penalty after reviewing it later. Still bs

How it is upholding the integrity of the game to officially announce this after the final day of practice for the opener?

Apparently Houston knew about the suspension in December, but the NCAA just wanted to hide it until there’s 0 opportunity to pivot?

So absurd.

I think the narc at Clemson is such an incredibly weak human. Do you know how much you have to dig into each LSU player to find something like this? Months of work. I don't know if Houston told them, but even if so, it's incredibly weak to call up NCAA 50 hours before kickoff and inform them of this. Probably on purpose they held it this late too. Incredibly weak minded. What Gen Z calls it these day, a Beta Male. That's a Beta Male move.

I mean guys will sometimes get lucky if the ref doesn’t see, but anytime you push a ref then start throwing hands, you’re probably going to get punished

College football just needs to separate from NCAA. College Football has absolutely 0 need for the NCAA, but the NCAA 100% needs College Football to survive. It's like a relationship of a beautiful rich women marrying a fat broke guy. One needs the other more than vice versa.

LSU needs to stop bending over to the NCAA and letting them screw LSU over and over while other schools continuously tell the NCAA to get fricked. It works for them so why can’t it work for LSU?

Scott does nothing to protect LSU as the AD. He should have been all over this and fighting this

I suspect clemson played a role in slowplaying this...dabo might have a buddy on the Houston staff....and Houston went along still pissed at LSU.

Im just not sure Scott would be able to know if the kid didnt know and the school was deliberately hiding it.

Then get the penalty right to start with and there will be no problems. Don't change it after the fact, then hide it from the kid himself and the new school.

It took so long because the NCAA somehow didn't know about it.

How often does this happen? This is the part that chaps my arse. Hopefully, BK uses this as a motivational tool. “Us against the world” type of thing.
