He's gonna be mad.

DUI's have gotten ridiculous.

Im absolutely anti-drunk driving, but a lot of times this about $$$$.

Need to reign that ol’ boy in… or better yet, fire his arse.
I back the blue most times but I’ve been sober and cuffed for the same outcome. It’s not funny believe me.

I got one sitting in my truck waiting on my wife to come get me after a Xmas party. Of course I had it running and was in drivers seat - I remember seeing the lights in my rearview and just saying to myself, this ain’t gonna end well. The police report said I was passed out in the car.

Worked DUIs for years in my former life. It's sad the number of DUI officers that chase stats which is all tied to grant money.

There is a right way and wrong way, can always get the blood work, send it off, and wait for the results prior to signing an affidavit. But common sense is hard I guess.

There was a time in Louisiana, that you were good to go if you could keep it between the ditches.

I no longer drink but I'm cautious about leaving a restaurant that sells alcohol.

I will never again do a field sobriety or breathalyzer.

Take me to the station and take my blood, then come see me in court, bitch.

DUI enforcement is in no way about safety. It is 100% a money grab.

If it was about safety, they wouldn't have developed such lengthy and expensive pretrial diversion programs.

Ditches is a bit far.

But lines... You're doing better than 90% of the drivers on the road.

So let me get this straight. Blood tests, a scientific method, cannot detect all drugs but some fatass trooper can, just by looking?

We clearly need to change some shite up. Every jurisdiction should have a dedicated closed circuit obstacle course. A suspected drunk driver should be immediately taken to that course and allowed to drive it. If they satisfactorily navigate it they should be free to go with no charges no matter the breathalyzer or blood test results.

Imagine swearing an oath to protect your community and instead becoming a fundraiser for your sheriff or your dept.

Every attorney worth their salt will tell you to not do field sobriety.

But pull out the breathalyzer and let me get those zeros on record for the civil suit if I’m arrested.

If it's even calibrated.

In my case, it was not.

Bottom line, the cop can take you for DUI no matter what. You have to go to court to prove you weren't drunk.

It's a complete frick you to the right of law. We should be firing cops and fining departments for false DUI's.
