I bought a Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ the other day, along with an assortment of coffee capsules. I've decided I won't ever go back to Keurig swill.

Delicious coffee if you don't mind paying for the pods.

The quality of the coffee justifies the expense, imo.

There are refillable replacement pods on the market.

Been doing this for years. I just upgraded from pre-ground to beans and a good grinder.

Then this week, my conventional coffee pot at the camp died and I bought a pour-over. Good so far...

We got a nespresso a couple of years ago and its one of the best purchases we have ever made. My in laws have a keurig and the quality is night and day. nespresso is sooo much better.

This is why it's important to buy an Original Line, not a Vertuo line. Original line pods can be bought from companies that are not Nespresso at lower prices.

We got hooked on them while in Europe last summer and bought one when we returned from there. We specifically wanted espresso, as I'm pretty happy with my current regular coffee setup. We debated on the Vertuo vs. original and ended up going with the original because I'd read mixed reviews about the espresso quality in the Vertuos.

We mainly use ours for early morning pre-gym espressos, afternoon pick-me-ups, afogatos, and espresso martinis. The quality is pretty danged good, though, and pods can be purchased quite a bit cheaper on Amazon once you find a brand you like that doesn't break the bank (we use the Lavazza brand).

This. You can get 3rd party pods for a quarter of the price of the name brand pods.

I had a standalone nespresso for a while, but I swapped to a combo drip/nespresso machine and it's been a great little machine: LINK

That said, I'd prefer a real espresso shot over nespresso all day every day, but the nespresso works as a quick, serviceable, affordable, no-hassle caffeine delivery device. It's also fine for making into a latte or cappuccino.

True, but I’ve yet to find any third party brand that’s as good as the actual nespresso pods.

The reason people get the vertuo line over the original is usually because they want coffee not espresso. You can't make a 12oz coffee in the original nespresso.

In 2029 other manufacturers will be able to make vertuo pods.

I bought The Weeknd Samra bundle. It makes everything except the carafe size, which I would never make anyway.

Nespresso is the best home espresso out there for the money. Buying pods for 3 sucks though.

I've been drinking more coffee than usual since I bought this thing. Just made an iced coffee in my Samra Origins tumbler.

I reuse the pods and just clean them. Then i pack fine ground coffee in them then cover with foil. Works great. Saves money.

They make ones with foil stickers on Amazon. I tried for a while, but they just weren't worth the hassle of cleaning, drying out, etc. 3 coffees a day for the ex wife was under $2.25 using Nespresso capsules, half that with knock offs. It wasn't worth it to save $30 a month to go through that process, because you know you're never going to get someone else in the house to do it.

I just bought a new original line machine last week. I tried to buy a knock off brand, but I needed it before Sunday morning, and the delivery dates were "we'll let you know when it ships." I ended up spending too much and getting an Essenza Mini to get it to me on time. I'm probably only making espresso once or twice a week now, so I actually like the small capacity water tank.

I haven't seen much of a difference between name brand and 3rd party.

A real espresso vs nespresso is night and day. Nespresso vs 3rd party nespresso not so much. Im far from a coffee snob, too.

Makes excellent coffee, but at a premium price. And the pods generate a lot of waste. Machine needs periodic cleaning and resetting to factory specs.

If you wanta put the time in you can reuse the pods or buy a reusable pod.

Yep. I get original line knockoff pods for .26 to .29 a pod. The problem is that Amazon doesn't always have the manufactuer I favor so I have to be flexible.

The one thing I have noticed is that the 3rd party pods tend to leavel a little bit of coffee grounds in the bottom of the pod catcher.

Other than that no problems but I am not going to claim to be a coffee afficionado.
