Dont be surprised if in our first series or two a WR screen gets called and we house it for a TD.

This Clemson team is good, and has a talented secondary, but I just don't think they match up to our athletes. 7 WRs that will play in this game, plus 2 TEs. Match up nightmare.

If the Oline can keep it to under 6 sacks and Nuss doesnt turn the ball over by trying to make a play when ones not there, I think this is a 31-17 type game.

Baker is going to be bringing pressure all night especially with our DL having so much depth. Clemson going 5 wide is my only concern as that allows Cade to not really be spied unless they have faith in our safeties to man cover.

If Nuss is sacked 6 times we are unlikely to prevail.

For any receiver to have a day, we have to run the ball and play fast and physical up front.

I think this is one of those games where Bauer Sharp/TGreen are majority of the time lining up on the line next to our tackles. Lots of crack blocks and chip & release blocks on passing downs. Gonna need durham to be ready to assist as well.

I imagine we run several WR/RB screen plays. Get the ball out fast in the first half is the way to do this.

I tend to agree, but I do think if these sacks are spread out and not on 3rd down, we can still overcome. I mean, we gave up 6 to Florida last year and while we didnt win, we were still tied going into the 4th. We could have won that game.

Highly likely that this is the BEST DL we see this season AND we have 4 starters on the OL have never played a game together. We could have quite a few sacks this game and have only 3-4 the rest of the season.

I was just fixn to say that means we’re behind and they’re (Clemson) are teeing off, that is exactly what errybody is thinking or expecting from our OL. I surely hooope we can keep below 6 sacks rendered or the outcome will be what the pundits are predicting.

Well.. sound like we need to do quick passes and tempo. Nuss can’t just chill in the pocket for 5 seconds and expect to be clean

If you offered me 6 right now, I’d probably take it.

I want to have faith in 4 or less, but they have a top 10 DE and DT right now, supposedly. Our team, specifically that OL hasnt had a ton of playing time together with 4 new starters, and I think we have some growing pains that we have to overcome. Like I said though, I really do believe with 6 sacks this game is still winnable if they don't happen on 3rd and 4th down.

I heard this when we played Miss State 5 years ago and against UCLA, then FSU 2 years in a row and against USC. I have to see it to believe it.

Go ahead… run 5 wide…
Our D should be able to play man, long enough for the D-line to get home.

If our D-line is as good as said, and they go 5-wide, they will have to throw quick slants to keep klubnik off the ground and we should be able to undercut a few of them for picks.

True. But I feel like we’re still good at 5.

People aren’t mentioning that Barion Brown had 3 TDs against Clemson with quite a few of the same starters a couple of season ago

This. The days of LSU out-athleting teams are over.

Clemson has equal or better talent at just about every position.
