I know it’s been beat to death but…

The Athletic polled their readership. Which team are you with and which three permanent opponents do you want.

My choices were Bama, Ole Miss, and UF. I think? I might have picked Arkansas over UF. I miss those thanksgiving games.

Here are the results:

Where do you stand?

ETA I’ll post a few others below.

Bama's top priorities are Auburn and Tennessee.

I would prefer Florida over Texas A&M.

UF will have Tennessee and UGA, they won't have LSU too

So we just forget about Mississippi State? We've played them more than any other team.

Ole Miss, Alabama, and The Aggies are going to be the 3 teams that are our permanent opponents and that is all. I want nothing to do with Arkansas, they are the red-headed step child. They're just annoying and I always hated how the media and their fans tried to make it into a rivalry.

I still think it’s stupid to have every team with permanent opponents.

Let Texas, the Aggies, and Oklahoma be each other’s permanent opponents. No other legacy SEC team needs it.

This is the problem with limiting it to 3, we can't really decide on general fairness and who we want to play. Just cycle the whole league against the whole league. Traditions are dying left and right anyway...

OR make it geographical, which is what a conference should be anyway, right? Oh wait, that is dying out too. I just hope the SEC at least stays within the south and we don't let a non-contiguous state school join.
