Last year our offense drastically improved. Yet still struggled against the SEC. They average over 40 points a game against non SEC and less than 14 points a game vs SEC. So this offense will need to drastically improve some more in order to score on the good defenses we will play. Yes, I do believe they can do that. But I need to see it. I can't stomach another loss to the SEC.

The thing is…we can lose 2-3 games and still have a good enough resume to make the playoffs.

Clemson can’t lose 2-3 games because everyone else they play besides us SUCKS.

TLDR: Clemson can’t lose or their season is over. They will be tight and nervous

Its catching.

My former GF from SC texted "just hope we dont get blown out" then a "lol".

They know, the wounds from the title game have not healed.

2 yes. 3 is still unknown. Last year three SEC teams all lost only 3 games and were left out of the CFP. The Committee says they are going to take SOS into account more this year, but, for me, I'll believe it when I see it.

You do know they made the CFP last year with a 9-3 record, right? All they have to do is win the ACC championship and they are in. Last year they lost to Georgia, South Carolina and Louisville. However, 7-1 in ACC play was enough to get them to the ACC championship game. It's a much more arduous task to get to and win the SEC championship game Plus, after this game, Clemson doesn't play a (preseason) top 25 team until the final game of the season @ South Carolina. To compare, LSU has 6 (preseason) top 25 teams on their schedule AFTER the Clemson game.

This game is MUCH bigger for LSU. A loss means they have to go 10-1 (7-1) the rest of the way to feel certain of a CFP spot. Getting through the SEC schedule with just one loss, for any team, is not easy. Only 1 of 16 teams (Texas) was able to do that last year.

You obviously don't watch much football outside LSU. They got in last year with 3 losses.

I might be wrong, but I find it annoying that “making the playofffs” is everyone’s goal or even top goal. I can’t stand the expanded playoffs, and care more about beating Bama, Florida, and Ole Miss. Making it to and winning the SECCG is the pinnacle of success for a LSU team in my mind. I really couldn’t care less what happens after that.

They should be, just as nervous as LSU fans. This game is far from a given for either team. It's almost a toss-up.

9-3 would need a lot of help to get into the playoff with that record. 10-2 and you're in. We cannot afford to lose 3 games. Which is why winning this game is so important because going 7-1 in the SEC is extremely hard to do.

If BK’s best year of talent goes 9-3, he needs to gtfo. We should expect 11-1 and nothing else less

Agreed!

Our QB & skilled position playmakers should be difficult to defend for 4 quarters. OL: Just give Nuss some time to make his progressions to deliver strikes and provide a crease to Durham. He'll do the rest.

Really looking forward to seeing our DEF fly around and make plays up field. We have multiple impactful, experienced guys at every level: DL, LB and DB. Add some young, talented players like Pickett too. This will be a great test. I'm confident Blake Baker will put them in position to make enough stops & get the W.
