The American Idol kid.

Yes or no? Why or why not.

Well I thought he was a talented singer, but I’m guessing his fame will fade.

I saw him at marshland festival in LC. He sounded great, but felt like every move he made was scripted to be like Alan Jackson or George strait.

Sure seems like a try hard.

Too many old women on Facebook are so quick to crown him a “star”

A bump but I was brain rotting on Facebook last night and it’s insane how many AI pages are out there proclaiming this guy to be the next “star” of country music.

What’s worse is the amount of old people who believe it and will say shite like, “this kid is the real deal! He’s going to pass up George Strait!”

Reading shite like that on facebook really makes you lose all hope for society.

Not doubting they are good people.

Just don’t think he’s good.

I had no idea who he really was until my mom sent me an article about him, because I grew up with his dad. So then I caught his remaining Idol performances online and was hoping he’d win. But I know his family really well. Grew up going to their camp in Bayou Pigeon. And I stop by their meat market any time I’m in Addis. Great people.

I know JF just started out on a tour. He’s got a good voice and it sort of harkens back to 80s and 90s country. And the song he wrote about his girl friend thar died in that car accident is pretty damn good for a teenager who was pretty new to music. I hope he makes it big.
