I'm not actively looking for a job so maybe that's why, but the app seems pointless. Mainly just people congratulating everyone on promotions and new jobs mixed with people sharing what they think is in depth and thought provoking posts (it's not). Anyone actually use this site and find benefits? What are they?

I find it's mostly used by sales bros trying to annoy you, head hunters pimping themselves out and HR/safety/dot people bragging about the new letters they can put behind their name after taking an online course.

Seen hookers trolling linked in from time to time. That and random people from your past you don't want to talk to as well as shitbird recruiters. Deleted several years ago as more trouble than its' worth.

I deleted my account when it started to look like a Facebook clone. Last straw was when someone posted a recipe. I don't know how long it stayed there, but I was gone shortly after.

I don’t use linked in as a sales bro. I’ll use my web sleuthing to figure out most shite.

LinkedIn is a fricking circle jerk

Spot on responses. I’m in sales and have pivoted away from LinkedIn. All it does is piss me off.

There’s so much info out there on the web once you apply for a business permit or if you have zoom info you can get someone high up in pretty much any decent size company.

We can circle back to that but can we workshop the lack of synergy is his post? I think a reimagining is prudent.

Not super difficult to decipher most companies email structure anyway. I’m convinced that’s why I get so much spam.

I have had a LinkedIn account for the past 15 years and never paid much attention to it at all.

However, I recently retired and now I glance at it pretty much every day. I don’t get much out of it, but I am still interested in the industry and that lets me keep up with what’s going on. I could see where it may be pretty helpful in finding a job in some fields.

A shite load of indians posting a bunch of AI generated slop, or trying to make themselves look smart by summarizing something they did a google search on
