He stinks but it's not like we've got a bunch of guys showing out to take his job. Tipton has shown something and Vele is obviously locked in but nobody else has done anything.

maybe not on our squad, but let's see what the waiver wire has to offer...

They probably can find someone but Cooks' contract also factors in.

In 2025, Cooks will earn a base salary of $1,260,000 and a signing bonus of $4,800,000, while carrying a cap hit of $3,154,110 and a dead cap value of $7,750,000.

yeah, you are right.... looks like we may be stuck with him

Is that just for this year? If so, keep him on the roster and let his contract go. No real reason to cut him when there aren’t a ton of better options on the team. We really need some playmakers.

Veteran presence is the only thing I can think of.

I never understood drafting him the first time around. The NFL today is simply not for short WR's. Aaron Anderson will be in the same boat.

Cooks put up elite numbers in 6 of his first 8 seasons.

Cooks has nearly 10k yards and 60 TDs as a pro. He’s currently 64th in WR career yardage of all time right behind Marques Colston. What are you smoking

We lose cap cutting him this year. If we wait until post June of next year then we can save 4mil.

I didn’t like the signing. We already had small receivers. Should have been trying to sign a bigger bodied receiver. And we rebuilding. Why pay so much for a vet?

Hope we can cut him and not take too much of a hit.

Payton thought he was gonna be a wide receiver and Reggie's replacement on run jet sweeps and shite. That Reggie role lasted one game.

He was with the Saints 3 seasons. Elite? Whose definition of elite?
His shortness led to an incomplete today

Dynamite with Rams. For a first rounder he underachieved in N.O.
