If tweet fails to load, click here. It’s because they need the money to recruit these fine scholars.

Pride already explained all this for us.

what the hell is happening to my (former) school? things were so different when I went, and for the better

Welcome week activities have looked like this for a couple years. Thankfully half of them drop out/get kicked out by their second year and the other half don’t attend classes

Your average student doesn’t attend these events. You didn’t. I didn’t. That bullshite has been going on a while at dumb stuff like that. Same with the dorm “block parties”

This is a drastic change from just 10 years ago.

I will reference the same thing i have said many times.
CEOs and board level folks loose common sense, IV the koolaid, and only want to do the feel good things that sound great on paper.
When you drop standards and allow chaos to enter, this is what you get.
I’m perfectly fine with anyone and everyone attending LSU but if you can’t act accordingly in correct settings, you should have to understand consequences. It’s not discriminating against any walk of life, it’s teaching people to act like adults and learn how to act in public.

And Bama and Ole Miss continue to pull kids with full rides from LA.

College isn’t about an education anymore.
It hasn’t been for years.
It is merely a brand to put on entertainment.

The Board of Regents and Commissioner Kim Hunter Reed have moved Louisiana universities to "test optional" application process in order to bring more kids in from out of state who don't have the scores to be admitted on merit. They bring Pell grant money with them, hang around for a semester or two and then drop out.

Absolutely. I’m telling my son to go where you’re valued.

Is he not valued at LSU with a 27 ACT and a 4.0 gpa?
What HS did he graduate from?

what does that mean? Is he not valued at LSU
He’ll graduate this year from an in-state public HS with a 36 ACT.
Texas A&M, Alabama and even Ms State send him stuff constantly, including specific scholarship information for his test score and GPA.
LSU never sent him anything until he signed up for an engineering tour (on his own) a couple months back.
