Deion gets some things wrong, but he gets some things very right too. This is one.

Sanders has set a rule that slides, hoodies and headphones are banned from the classroom. But that’s not all.

quote:

Colorado football players also must not sit in the back row of classes. And if the class is online, shirts must be worn, and there is no "walking around" while logged into virtual lectures.

Wish coaches would wear a dress shirt and dress pants on the sideline. Having your head coach in a hoodie or whatever looks trashy.

Applaud the move. But it needs to be enforced. What’s the plan for that?

I don't like Deion at all, but this is great.

He must understand that >95% of his players will not be going pro and therefore need to develop their maturity and professionalism to be prepared for a post-football life.

And if he has an All-American on his roster, none of those rules apply.

Ask Deion what he wore, if indeed he went to class at FSU.

I can guarantee you he did the complete opposite of what he is demanding from his players. Pot calling the kettle

Not sure I totally understand the ban on hoodies since that would be functional attire in Boulder during the fall. The players probably have 20 free hoodies each from Nike, and Deion likes to wear them on the sideline.

Overall, I like the idea of a team dress code though.

In College, Deion studied what ball would pay him more.

Not knocking his walk (lies do not become us with pandering to the CFB student athlete myth)... But he should likewise just embrace reality with his talk (he lived it and dresses exactly like what he is prohibiting from his players) he knows they're there for a skilled trade and like all in College, increase your earning potential in your given field.). Most coaches already have "optic" rules for players about sitting in the front of classrooms, its about the easiest thing to do to quiet the "academics" crowd.

Slacks and a button down outdoors shouldn’t be forced on anyone. This isn’t basketball

Coaches in all sports should be required to wear baseball uniforms.

Mizzou (I assumed everyone does) hires students that are in the same classes as athletes just to provide attendance reporting. The athletes are not allowed to know which students in their class are doing the reporting back to the AD. I dont know how you'd do that for virtual classes, though.

Do you disagree with the rules in place?

I never said that. He's just a clown for making his players do that. It isn't a military academy. Never have respected him as a coach regardless. Nothing more than a publicity stunt to market himself.
