Starting job is his to lose against the Broncos. I expect Sean Payton to coronate Tyler Shough as our week 1 starter.

I wonder if the Rattler fanboys will stop with the excuses if Rattler is still terrible with the starters?

I didn’t mind taking a swing on a QB, because they OBVIOUSLY didn’t believe in Rattler to be the answer.
IMO this season should be about seeing if Shough is the guy (I don’t think he is), because we already know Rattler is not

They won't because they are stuck on his name wanting to say "It's Rattler Time", but my guess is he will be terrible, and that will seal the deal.

no, it's really not... if Shough would have ANY daylight between him and Rattler, there's not a doubt in my mind they'd have announced it already... no doubt whatsoever... they are giving him EVERY chance to win it and Rattler EVERY chance to lose it... it's just that Rattler isn't doing quite bad enough, and fans know it, for them to really feel comfortable naming Shough the starter

Rattler will struggle against the Broncos….
Providing the impetus for Moore to start Shough in the regular season.
Again, Rattler is not the answer.
Start Shough every game then see what you have !!!

I don't think you can read too much into the start rotation right now. Consider that the two fighting for the job have pretty much identical stats. That should be concerning for Rattler since with more experience you would expect better results. I'll say that if the results are still close after the game Shough may get the eventual start because he is still an unknown quantity that you need to know what you've got.

Wow does anybody believe Spencer got a fair chance last year. He was surrounded by nobodies every game. You cannot judge him with that roster. Let’s see how he does now with much better pieces around him.
