Won’t be long before our boys are fighting over there.

I know most don’t like the idea of that but it’s very likely to happen. Prepare yourselves.

Why don’t you shite in one hand and wish in the other and see which one fills up first?

You prepare.

Hard to find people to carry the baseplate and a couple of rounds.

If he feels like Russia has all the leverage, he is trying to help Ukraine by pretending we will help them go on the offensive. Trump isn’t sending Americans into this shite.

Thats where you lose most of your men. Offensives take the brunt of casualties.

I know Trump said he was a War Hero yesterday
This is bad strategy- let the russians come and mow down another
million

I’m one of those people that will be an anti war protester. I don’t want a single US soldier on the ground in the Ukraine.

I would also be one of the first people on the front lines defending America from a hostile force attacking on US soil.

Trump is all over the place to try and gain credibility with Putin. I don't think it'll work. Not for lack of trying, but Putin is smart and knows Trump uses his "wildcard" persona for this stuff all the time and other conventional wisdom leaders play along (see tariff fights). But he knows Trump isn't sending Americans into this conflict and he knows Trump really really doesn't want to empower Ukraine to continue a dead end slog.

But, he's nonetheless giving it a go.

I think it's probably more hubris than self-sacrifice, but you could make the argument that Trump continually putting himself in the middle of a situation where there really aren't a lot of solutions likely to bring glory to himself is rare for Trump, and thus admirable. But again, I think it's probably just because he's used to always finding the narrow path to at least claimed victory and thinks he'll do so here.

This war is so stupid. Russia has the capability to annihilate Ukraine at any time, without using Nuclear weapons. Yet, because of the understood “ war rules”, Russia & Ukraine are playing the game of attrition.

He’s not saying he wants.
He’s just calling it like it is.

Thats why Biden’s policies of pre-announcing that missiles could not travel into Russia was beyond idiotic.

At the time they were obsessively concerned with not appearing to be provoking Russia. But Putin played that up so much to his benefit… and it just tied the Ukraine military’s hands behind their backs.

Maybe consider if you feel that way, perhaps America’s foes feel that way too?

There’s some advantages to being “unpredictable” when dealing with adversaries.

I remember during most of Reagan’s era the Soviets thought he was unpredictable, crazy and that he wanted to start a nuclear war. The fact they could never get a firm read on him helped contribute much to the USSR basically spending themselves out of existence (trying to keep up with what he “might do”).

The problem is everyone knows he is flustered that he didn't solve this in a day and just trying to flex or whatever to bring Putin to the table.

What more can he do to support Ukraine than Biden other than put boots on the ground? And, again, I don't think pumping more money and weapons there is what people voted for.
