Best dishwasher Bosch. I know they make fridges and other stuff also. Maybe someone knows how those are. Last I checked whirlpool was somewhere above some of the others.

There have been so many mergers and changing factories that brand shopping for appliances is now unreliable. Go to a long-established dealer like Stanton's in BTR and ask what their repair experience is now. Armed with that knowledge select the least complicated models for your needs. My experience is that they will match or come close to any Lowe's or Home Depot price, and they install/service.

Stay away from Samsung appliances like the plague. They are garbage. We have Kitchenaid for everything, and they have been great thus far. That's all it got.

We've had good success with Maytag and Whirlpool. Both replaced Samsung items (washer/dryer and a fridge) that were total trash. Very expensive trash, actually. I will not buy Samsung appliances again. Good luck.

Also I would stay away from Lowe's. At least in the Nola area, everyone I know who ordered appliances from there had issues.

avoid samsung fridges. Outside of that, everything is pretty much the same level of crapshoot.

I bought an entire GE kitchen (range, microwave, dishwasher, fridge) the last year they were an American company and I haven't had a single issue but that means nothing now that GE is the name used by a chinese company.

Everyone does love the bosch dishwashers. Not sure why.

I can load more than twice the dishes in it vs my older KitchenAid, but I’m sure modern KitchenAids are better. It cleans everything well even when I do my best to overload it and block all the water flow.

when i got new appliances i went to campo's in metairie. they ordered exactly what i wanted, gave me a nice discount, and delivered the new/hauled off the old. very satisfied with them. it is so much better having an actual person you can contact before/after as opposed to the big box cauldron of aggravation

as others have stated avoid Samsung, have been told by two different independent appliance repair shops that if it weren't for Samsung they'd be out of business.

I've had good luck with Whirlpool/Maytag line but we replaced our dishwasher with a Bosch a few years ago and it really does live up to the praise it gets.

We bought a new home earlier this year that came with all Maytag appliances roughly 10yrs old. The refrigerator went on the fritz and had a repair guy look at it and replaced a wiring harness - still no bueno and after consulting with Maytag determined it was a short in the frame somewhere - replace it. Asked him about different brands and as above he said run far and fast away from Samsung. He likes GE and Whirlpool/Maytag. I told him my Bosch dishwasher experience and he said he's been in the repair business for 12 years and only had 2 calls on Bosch refrigerators in all that time. I spoke to a Bosch fan I know who has nothing but in his house; he said the Bosch 500-series is the starting point , not the 100- or 300- series products. Said the 800 series are awesome but pricey and most of what you're getting in 800 series is "gee whiz" features not core functionality.

In scared to go there because when I was a kid I went to school with the owners kid who now owns it and I punched him in the face for some reason at recess. A bit embarrassing
