A “depressed” mother fatally shot her husband and two young children before turning the gun on herself in their New Hampshire home — just days after sharing her ongoing struggles in a chilling video on social media, authorities said.
Emily Long, 34, who was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, allegedly killed her husband, Ryan Long, 48, and two children, Parker, 8, and Ryan, 6, in an apparent murder-suicide at their Madbury home early Monday, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.
Both youngsters were shot in the head, while the family’s patriarch — who reportedly was battling terminal cancer — sustained multiple gunshot wounds, the state’s chief medical examiner concluded.

We need a separate board for the depressing news that I can just avoid.

Family annihilation is so tragic and awful.
I can’t help but imagine that she realized what she was doing before killing the 3 year old and decided to spare him before offing herself.
It should be a good lesson to many that following social media influencers for grief counseling, mental health issues, or relatable lived experiences is never trustworthy. So many moms posted about following her account to learn about parenting through a family member’s terminal illness. And the road ended with a murder suicide.

No one’s disagreeing that. But finger pointing when one is called out isn’t constructive. It’s dismissive.

No it’s called using hyperbole.

What does this have to do with them being white? Some of you are sick in the head.

Aren't ALL murder-suicides pretty shocking?

As compared to what other race? I'm fairly certain that white woman as a whole are considered more nurturing, productive and civilized than any other race in the U.S.

When people post phrases like " white women are..." it is simply guilt and blamesharing.
As if to say, " See? All groups are equally bad and have just as much crime as other groups."
That works out great for you if you ignore every single bit of unbiased statistical evidence relating to crime that has been published in the last 50 years.
But, feelings are important. Facts are inconvenient.

She couldn't see a life forward for her or her kids without her husband. Sounds like he may have woken up and tried to stop it based on the multiple gun shot wounds. She couldn't think of shooting her children while they were awake, so they went first.
People are so fricked in the head. Get help, don't kill kids.

Wouldn’t that be nice. The first step would be for a nationwide acceptance on how terribly harmful social media influence really is.

Aren't they all?
You seldom read about one where friends and neighbors say, "No, we weren't shocked. We all saw it coming."
