First two episodes dropped. It’s totally her story (propaganda) but she’s obviously innocent. I’m not sure what the Italian police think they had on her. Literally no evidence at all. It seems like she was presumed guilty almost immediately because she was just kind of an oddball.
However, it looks like all they had was her confession after hours of interrogation. I don’t understand why she would be so stupid as to not get a lawyer. Like literally after hours of badgering she cracked and signed a statement. What a dumbass.

I mean she was obviously innocent and spent time in jail unnecessarily because she was an American plain and simple.
There really isn’t another angle to take.

She's selling this story again?
The Netflix documentary was solid, I'll give it that. I don't believe she had anything to do with the death of the roommate.

She spills everything on one of the JRE podcasts back in May, not sure what else there is to tell.

Did/do the victims parents think she was the killer?

First time encountering the Italian Justice system? There is always a demonic sex cult somewhere is step one.
When I heard the prosecutors name was Giuliano Mignini, I couldn't believe my ears. I had just read the Monster of Florence by Douglas Preston and Mario Spazi. It recounts the serial killings in Florence and Mignini is featured heavily. The man is batshit insane and is known for not allowing translators and falsifying evidence...as well as being obsessed with demonic sex cults.
When I confirmed he was lead prosecutor, I knew she was fricked and then the demonic sex cult shite appeared in testimony.
WIki on Mignini

quote:Yeah. He totally convinced himself of the facts of the case early on and ignored evidence. I can’t believe they still communicate. I’d tell him to go to hell and make sure his name was mud in Italy.
Giuliano Mignini,

Side note, she looks better at 52 then she did in 1997/1998:

Giuliano Mignini,
google this guy. He has a history of fabricating evidence for public attention. I can't believe he never got prosecuted himself.

That was a horrible experience, I’m sure. She was in a foreign country, a she probably felt she had to take the path of least resistance.
That said, she has monetized the shite out of the event…

I watched the third episode last night. It was 45 minutes of absurd police work and incompetence. Then 5 minutes of her allowing herself to get badgered into another “confession”. This dumb arse girl is why people invoke the fifth so much. It’s got to be even worse considering this is all told from her perspective.

The detective should have dropped it with her when they caught the killer who, btw, admitted he killed her. He also either said Know had nothing to do with it or had no idea who she was. It was like the duke lacrosse case. It became obvious she wasn’t guilty, but they had too much of a spectacle to let her go.
