Super Troopers 3 Begins Filming This Week

Jay Chandrasekhar is set to return to direct and reprise his role as Thorny, along with Kevin Heffernan as Farva, Steve Lemme as Mac, Paul Soter as Foster, and Erik Stolhanske as Rabbit.

Joining the Spurbury Police Department officers are Brian Cox as Captain John O'Hagan and Marisa Coughlan as Ursula Hanson.

Cox was a part of "Super Troopers 2," but Hanson's Ursual was sorely missed. Now, Foster's love interest will be back in the center stage for the latest sequel.

It has also been reported that comedic actor and Academy Award winner Nat Faxon will join the sequel. Fans might remember Faxon from being one of the German competitors in Broken Lizard's "Beerfest."

Faxon will portray Captain Todd Markowski. Joining Faxon is the star of "The Boys," Chace Crawford. Crawford portrayed "The Deep" in "The Boys" and is set to portray Baker Buchanan in the "Super Troopers" sequel.

Searchlight President Matthew Greenfield released a statement on the third sequel, which reads:

"Broken Lizard has been part of the Searchlight family for over two decades, and we couldn't be more thrilled for another entry in the Super Troopers saga. Super Troopers has a way of making the absurd feel inevitable, and we can't wait to bring audiences along on another adventure with these characters who leave a trail of joy and laughter, wherever their patrols may take them."

Through two movies, "Super Troopers" has garnered $55 million on a reported budget of $15 million.
