What about dinner?
I refuse to.

Breakfast yes, but she has to get dressed before the tv is turned on. Dinner? No.

Yes for breakfast so they stay out of the way while we get ready. No for dinner.

I grew up on Sesame Street while waiting on the bus.

No electronics at the table.....period.

If the kid is doing what they’re supposed to do to get ready in the morning, I don’t see why not.
No TV during dinner though.

As long as they are up, fully dressed with socks and shoes and hair brushed, they can watch while they eat in the morning.

cartoons are the new babysitter

No. We had only one TV and it was not even turned on until evening.
Besides, they ate at the table, not on the sofa.

I stared at the back of the cereal box picking it apart.

TV during the week was very limited, but on weekends it was pretty much a free-for-all

shite, I watched the hell out of the Jetsons, Bullwinkle, Tennessee Tuxedo, Fractured Fairytales, Go Go Gophers every morning before going to school. While eating my power packed bowls of sugary sweet cereal. Besides the diabetes I suffered no harm.

Not during breakfast because he'll take too long and never finish eating before it's time to leave for school.
At dinner yes if he's been good. I will also take it away real fast if he complains about what's for dinner.
Currently I don't eat at the same time.. he's wanting dinner at 5:30-6 range and I eat later... that will hopefully change as he gets older.

I’m 100% in agreement that kids are getting too much screen time, but come on, man. I watched cartoons or saved by the bell or whatever was on during breakfast as a kid. It’s not that serious

Breakfast? Yes. I did it when I was growing up and look at the OT baller I became.
Dinner? Depends. Cooked meal with all family present and accounted for? Dinner table. Something quick because someone has practice or has a late work shift? Do what you can.

I woke up an hour before homeroom bell. This gave me time to shower, eat, make my lunch (I only ate pbj sandwiches), then head to school.
