They are looking to trade Trey Hendrickson. They had agreed to the dollar amount, but refuse to guarantee money in case something happens like the Shemar situation.

They are cooked this season if Trey is gone.

They'll need to score 50 every game to have a chance

They’re probably cooked regardless. Outside of like 4-5 guys the talent drop off is big. That roster isn’t good

They have a TON of money tied up in a QB and 2 WRs. They can't pay everyone.

Well it feels like they pampered their best offensive players with contracts, and told the best defensive players to go get paid elsewhere.

Cannot stand when people say this. The bengals have 30 mil in space still for this year before restructuring burrow. They pay no one besides those 3.

Mike Brown is poor, he’s not going to restructure Burrow and cut him a huge check upfront

We'll take our chances. Bengals have never given extra guaranteed years to guys over 30. This narrative that we're cheap is so fricking ignorant, tired, and false. Bengals payroll is consistently in the top half of the league. They've offered Trey a very lucrative and fair short term deal. We simply don't ever give out long term deals to older players.

Well don't complain if you field a weak defense or weak OL, because those obviously weren’t prioritized by the Bengals.

Can’t be any worse than the Saints. The Saints are notorious for letting their best players go when they figure out how good they are. Like when they let Trey Hendrickson go for instance lol

The saints haven’t been cheap since Benson bought them. They don’t always spend wisely but they spend

The bengals should have been set up for a ridiculous run having burrow and chase on rookie deals but between burrow injuries and poor management they fricked their window up

Trey to the Browns with Garrett is not a bad idea.

The Saints hit on every pick in the 17 draft. Would should have the Saints not signed over him? Alvin? Ram? Lattimore?

I mean they went to the Super Bowl and have been a consistent contender in the middle of the Chiefs dynasty

I’d say yes… I just don’t get it. They have a great qb for the next 10 years, a great WR core. The defense wasn’t that great WITH TH. And the could use better defensive coaching. Paul Brown is spinning in his grave.

They’ve missed the playoffs the last 2 seasons and odds are they’ll miss this season

Mike Brown wants 2 players and a draft pick for Trey.

They better be defensive impact players that can play almost every down. A 2nd round pick at worst.

Brown is cheap with respect to everything else but with the salary cap floor being so high it’s not possible for a team to be cheap on payroll. This is a terms dispute

FWIW the Bengals are 9th in active player spending for 2025

Feels like they are putting all their eggs on Burrow and the WRs to drag them into the playoffs.
